SUMMARY

Backend engineer and engineering manager with 12 years in the industry. I currently lead the backend team at XREX. Most of my work has been fintech infrastructure: Spring Cloud microservices, data pipelines on Airflow, Spark and Flink, and compliance systems covering AML, KYC and on-chain risk analysis. Before XREX I built microservices and data pipelines at Binance. Earlier in my career I delivered government and enterprise systems.

Since January 2025 I have run the backend function at XREX: hiring, task allocation, performance reviews, sprint planning and technical direction for a team of five engineers. I work with Product, Frontend, QA, Compliance and SRE on delivery, and translate C-level priorities into engineering plans. I also drove the standardization of our SDLC and data security procedures.

I still read and write code. The two questions I use to judge a quarter are whether the design decisions still hold up a year later, and whether the engineers on the team actually grew.
